Hillside Garden Entrance

Designing the master plan for this hillside home included a front entrance walkway, a rear entrance path, pool patio and recreational lawn area for their four children. The front entrance walkway was laid out to wind through a garden as it traversed the slope from the street to the front door. Landing areas were skillfully placed with the garden exposing only the next set of steps. By utilizing this design technique visitors never become overwhelmed by the amount of steps they will walk up or down while entering and exiting the home. The entrance garden also provides interesting views from the interior rooms.
