Montville Twp’s Ninth Annual Arbor Day Celebration

MONTVILLE, NJ — Montville Twp. held its ninth annual Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 27, at Town Hall. During the event, a large flowering Eastern red bud tree, donated by Cording Landscape Design in Towaco, was planted. Shown in the photo around the tree are winners of the Arbor Day poster contest from Hilldale Elementary and Cedar Hill Elementary schools with Hugh Merritt, who was honored for bringing hundreds of people closer to nature.

Ron Cording, owner of Cording Landscape Design on Main Road in Towaco, was on hand to give tree planting tips and to answer questions regarding care of trees.
